Mobile Recycling Collection Service

We bring the recycling center to you. Our mobile collection units visit neighborhoods throughout Eastern Georgia on a rotating schedule — making recycling easy for everyone.

How It Works

Three simple steps to participate in a mobile recycling event.

1

Find an Event Near You

Check our schedule or call (706) 555-0100 to find the next mobile recycling event in your neighborhood.

2

Gather Your Materials

Collect your recyclables, electronics, and hazardous waste. Keep materials in safe, original containers.

3

Drop Off & Done

Drive up to the event location during the collection window. Our staff unloads everything — no appointment needed.

Preparing for a Mobile Event

A little preparation before the event makes the drop-off process quicker for you and our staff. Here are the key steps:

  1. Sort your materials at home. Separate recyclables, electronics, and hazardous materials into different boxes or bags so they can be quickly directed to the right collection stations at the event.
  2. Keep liquids in secure containers. Motor oil, antifreeze, and liquid paint should be in closed, non-leaking containers. Seal with tape if the cap is uncertain.
  3. Leave labels on products. Do not remove labels from chemicals — they help our staff identify and categorize materials quickly and safely.
  4. Check your electronics for data. Back up any data you want to keep before bringing in old computers, phones, or tablets. We recommend a factory reset before drop-off, though our certified partners also perform data destruction.
  5. Arrive early. Mobile events have a fixed time window. Arriving in the first half of the event ensures shorter wait times and guarantees service before capacity limits are reached.

Community Impact of Mobile Recycling

Mobile recycling events do more than collect materials — they build community awareness and create access for residents who cannot easily transport items to the permanent facility. Since launching our mobile program, EG Trash & Recycle Services has diverted hundreds of thousands of pounds of materials from landfills annually.

Electronics collected at mobile events are processed by R2-certified and e-Stewards-certified recyclers who ensure that hazardous components are safely managed and valuable metals are recovered for reuse in new manufacturing. Paint collected is blended and redistributed through community paint reuse programs or processed for fuel recovery. Motor oil is re-refined into high-quality lubricant base stock.

Every event is also an opportunity for education. Our staff and volunteers are available to answer questions about home recycling practices, composting, and how to handle materials between events. We believe that informed residents make better recycling decisions every day — not just on event day.
